Music in Sirens

I liked the use of the fugal technique in this episode.  It seemed appropriate, since there seems to be a strong focus on music and song intertwined with the narrative.  At first, it seemed very disjointed and confusing, but as the episode goes on, and all of the odd fragments from the beginning are seen throughout the rest of the episode, it ties everything together in an interesting way.  The singing in the background of everything clearly adds to the musical structure of the text.  The sirens of the Odyssey are represented here by the two barmaids and by the men singing in the saloon.
